A Gift

Hope everyone is well and surviving the winter cold and all the germs that seem to be floating around at the moment!

I thought I'd share some pictures with you today of a gift I made for a friend. It was so quick and easy and looked really effective.

The pot is from Ikea and it was really inexpensive (and can be used again). It is a terracotta type pot in a greyish colour. I basically wrapped the ribbon around it and attached the flowers. Then I stamped a patterned circle from a retired Stampin' Up! Set and then added the little brad to the middle of the flower.

For the card I used my Polka Dot embossing folder through the Big Shot machine, used some matching ribbon and stamped another few images and layered them up using a brad and Stampin' Dimensionals (which are great for the 3D look). On the inside of the card, I just added some white paper and stamped a matching image in the corner.

I then wrapped some Maltesers in cellophane added some matching ribbons and I was done. All up it took me maybe 20 minutes to complete and it was a very effective little gift. It is amazing what a few ribbons and stamps can do!

Thats it for today. Hope you have a great weekend. Don't forget to leave me a comment to let me know you stopped by!

Tiny Tags

Hope everyone is having a good week. I have had a busy week with working extra days and preparing for two Stampin' Up! Workshops I have booked this weekend which I am looking forward to.

So right now I am absolutely loving one of Stampin' Up!s latest products...the mini jewellery tag punch (which is in the new punch format). I really love it and its so versatile. It also coordinates with the Tiny Tags stamp Set from the current Mini Catalogue which is just adorable. Below are some examples of its uses.

Here I have used it for my date on this scrapbook page and have adhered a brad to hold it in place. This page has been posted on Remember When's blog so I apologise if you have seen it before!

This card below was based on the sketch from the Just Add Ink Challenge #21which I was a bit late to actually submit, but thought I'd give it a go anyway. I have used the tag punch and Tiny Tags Stamp Set here as well with the tag hanging from the flower.

Below is a cute Mini Pizza box I made from a tutorial at Split Coast Stampers and again I have hung the tag and used the Tiny Tag Stamp Set.

They are just some of the projects I have used the punch and stamps on - it is my "go to" product at the moment!!!

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to leave me a comment so I know you have been here.

A long Weekend

I love long weekends. It feels like you have so much extra time even though its only one day extra. Who knows why we have a long weekend for the Queens Birthday, but hey I'll take it! My youngest son was asking me why he gets an extra day off school and I explained that we have a long weekend for the Queens Birthday...his reply was "So when do we get to go to the party!". He was most dissapointed when I told him that there was no party! LOL!

I've been doing a bit of creating this weekend preparing for a few workshops I have this week and also just to get the creative juices flowing. I'm also participating in my first Swap and have been busy making Swap cards. I will post more on that later in the week.

This first card is very basic and I actually hand cut around the edge of the big stamp and suprisingly it didn't turn out too bad! I've always prefered either a trimmer or punch to do all my cutting. I am loving red at the moment.

This next card used the wonderful Big Shot Machine to emboss the polka dots on the cardstock. I've then stamped and coloured the baby pram in matching blue tones and added the ribbon. The Big Shot is just amazing and I will be having a class soon where we make a variety of cards using the Big Shot - stay tuned!

I will also be releasing an amazing Big Shot bundle in the coming days so look out for that as well. Definitely a great way to go if you plan on purchasing the Big Shot Machine as it is the best value for money.

I've been working on my School Holiday Classes and have the projects planned and started. As soon as they are complete I will photograph them and put up the details of the classes. I hope to do that this week as well.

Don't forget the current Deal of the Week will end tomorrow afternoon. Please email me if you would like to place an order for any of the great Patterned Paper packs that have been reduced by at least 30%. See this post for more info. A new Deal of the Week will be released on Wednesday and I can't wait to see what it is and I will post here as soon as I find out.

So lots to come in the next week...make sure you stay tuned. Please leave me a comment so I know that you have stopped by.

Winner!

I have drawn the winner of the prize pack for leaving a comment using http://www.random.org/. The winner is the 5th person to comment which was Theresa! Congrats! I will get your prize pack to you during the week.

While I'm here, I'll share another card with you. This one was made using the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine which I am absolutely loving! I just used my square punch to punch the "patchwork" from an assortment of SU Patterned papers and stuck them to a scrap piece of cardstock. Then I ran that through the machine with the Top Note Die and there you have it. So, so easy. Add the stamped word and button and you have one very quick and effective card.

I will be starting my classes soon and one that I plan to do is a Big Shot class where you get to make various cards using the Big Shot. So stay tuned and if you'd like to be added to my mailing list, please send me an email.

Have a good weekend.

A Stampin' Up! Scrapbook Page

I hope everyone is staying dry in this weather. It does make for great scrapping and card making weather though!

I have always been a fan of Bazzil Cardstock...in fact that is all I have ever used because I loved it so much. This is a little dilemma for me now being a SU Demonstrator. I still love Bazzil, but thought I'd give the SU cardstock a go and really I quite liked it. I still love Bazzil but I like SU as well which comes in handy for me! Below is a page I created using some of the SU Cardstock. In fact everything on it is SU except the letter stickers. I used the Big Shot with the Top Note die to cut the green cardstock where the title is and I even used the SU brads that match the cardstock exactly.

In the end I was really happy with how it turned out.
Don't forget to leave me a comment as all comments this week go in the draw to win a Stampin' Write Marker and a little suprise! I will draw the winner tomorrow afternoon.

Have a good night.
