Happy Easter

Hi everyone...Easter is almost here, so I thought I'd stop by with a quick post to show you what the kids and I have been making for some friends.

These cute litle bags are quick and easy to make and could be used for lots of things other than just Easter eggs! These are just old patterned papers I have had laying around for awhile.

The Happy Easter stamp is from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments set and the bunny is from the Forest Friends set which are both available in the current catalogue.

Also, just a reminder to sign up for my Mothers Day Class on Monday 2nd May as places are limited. Details are under the class page (tab above).

I hope everyone has a great Easter. I'll be back after the weekend to show you some more things I've been creating.

Simple Cards

I like spending time checking out blogs and websites for inspiration on cards and scrapbook layouts. One of the blogs I regularly visit is Jodene's blog. She makes some amazing cards and I am constantly inspired by her work.

A few days ago she posted some quick cards she had made and I just loved them. You can see the post here. I was inspired to create something similar and this is what I came up with below.

These are very simple to do...only the card base and one layer of Whisper White combined with stamping. But even though they are so simple, they look very effective. These took me all of 5 minutes to make (perhaps another 10minutes to decide on my colour combo and which stamp sets!). So this is a very easy card to remember if you need to make a card in a rush!!

Card Recipe
Stamps: Flight of the Butterfly, Wonderful Favourites, Punched Posies (hostess set), Cottage Garden.
Cardstock: Popppy Parade, Whisper White
Ink: Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black
Other: Rhinestones

Thanks for stopping by.

The sketch for the challenge is this...

and my interpretation for SSSC112 is...

I wasn't sure where I was going with this card when I started, but I'm happy with how it turned out. I used my brand new Cottage Garden Stamp set which I just loved, along with the Cottage Garden Designer Series Paper. Let me know what you think of this card!

Card Recipe

DSP: Cottage Garden

Well I am on a creative roll now and decided I'd enter a card in this weeks Just Add Ink Challenge. The challenge this week is one close to my heart...its a colour challenge and you have to get inspiration from your favourite Chocolate Bar!!! Great idea with Easter coming up.

So here is my entry for JAI64...can you guess which chocolate bar gave me the inspiration?!?

The inspiration came from....a MARS BAR!!!! One of my favourite chocolate bars!!

SU Regional Make & Take's

It seems bizarre that I am posting this now, as the SU Regional Meeting was in November last year, but I have just never gotten around to sharing what we made.

We were given the Every Moment Stamp Set as a freebie. Now I'll be honest, its not one that I would normally pick or use, but I have to say I was very impressed with what we made. It may not be completely my normal style, but I really enjoyed learning different techniques and creating something different to what I normally do.

We created a card (you will have to ignore the smudge mark on the writing - my first time using a spritzer plus under pressure as I was surrounded by a lot of other extremely talented demonstrators!!!!! We made a mini gift card which I really like. Very quick and easy to make. Plus we made the little gift box which I think is really cute. A close up of the box is below.

We used watercolours and an aqua painter to colour the images, which again was something new for me. It was a lot of fun.

We also created a Scrapbook layout. It was 6x6, but I have just added it to a 12x12 page so that it fits in my album.
This was a very quick and easy page and it turned out quite well I think!

The Regionals was a great time of getting to know other demonstrators and learning some great new techniques. I really enjoyed the day.

In May I will be attending the annual Stampin' Up! Convention in Melbourne. This will be my first time and I am extremely excited! There are around 500 demonstrators that attend the Convention and I am sure it will be a wonderful time of learning (and shopping in Melbourne!!!!). I am busily working on my swaps at the moment, but will have more cards and things to share in the next few days. I'm determined to be better at posting on my blog.

Just on another note, I have some dates available for workshops coming up in the next month and it is a great time to host a workshop as the New Autumn/Winter Mini catalogue has been released. There are some great new products and just by hosting a Workshop you have the opportunity to earn FREE Products along with hostess stamp sets, a free catalogue and a gift from me just for booking. So get some friends together and contact me to arrange a Workshop date.

A New Class

I will be holding a class on Monday 2nd May just in time for Mothers Day.

This will be a fun class so why not come along and join in. You will make a card, mini album and mini handbag. There will be two different colour choices - this bright colour combo and one in more subtle colours.

The mini album has three flip pages decorated on the inside with room to add a mini photo.

The mini purse is the perfect size to hold some chocolates (3 lindt balls fit perfectly!) or some other small gift like a lipstick.

So book your spot now as places are limited. $20pp all materials supplied. Please bring your own adhesive and paper trimmer. You can RSVP directly through my website.

*NOTE: Colours and designs may vary depending on stock at the time of class.

I'm back in creative mode, so stay tuned for lots more blog posts over the next few weeks. Hope you are all surviving the school holidays.

I've been slack...

I have been so slack and have not been around for awhile. Life just gets so busy (I know I've said that before, but it really is true!!). Anyway, I have been so busy I haven't even had time to do much creating and I'm desperate to get my hands on some paper and have a play! I have a busy weekend coming up, but am hoping in the next week I will be able to create some new things and show them to you. I'm also working on a new card class for Mothers Day and hope to have that up on my website soon.

In the meantime, today is the launch of the new Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue and there are some great tihngs inside. To view the new catalogue online, go here. Check out all the great new products. I have to say my favourite from the Catalogue is the Pom Pom Trim...I just love it and it adds so much dimension to your card or scrapbook page.

Anyway, thanks for perservering with me and I promise I will be back very soon with some things to show you!

Have a great weekend.
